FAQ’S

  • Joseph Pilates believed in a holistic approach to physical fitness and mental well-being. He developed the Pilates method, focusing on controlled movements, breathing, and proper alignment to strengthen the body and mind.

Pilates equipment sessions involve using specialised equipment, such as the reformer, Cadillac, and chair, to perform controlled and low-impact exercises. These sessions improve core strength, flexibility, balance, and overall body alignment. The equipment provides resistance and support through springs and pulleys, allowing for a full-body workout that develops better posture, muscle tone, and body awareness.

  • We are in Block D of the Canberra Technology Park in Watson, the building directly in front of the car park. You will see our signage on the building. Once inside, go straight up the stairs on your left, and you’ll find us at the top!

The front door may be locked if your session is outside regular business hours. You will need to enter a code on the black keypad to the left of the door. We provide the pin in your appointment reminder email or text.

  • Wear anything you feel comfortable moving in! We ask that you wear clean socks, preferably grip socks. These are for sale at the studio if you forget.

Please bring a water bottle which you can fill at our sink.

If appropriate, bringing any medical reports or scans is helpful. These will help us understand any underlying issues and adapt your sessions accordingly.

  • Your instructor will spend some time discussing your medical history and your goals. Depending on the outcome of that, they may do some assessments of how you stand and move. They will introduce you to some of the core concepts of Pilates, such as breathing, and take you through some basic exercises.

  • We prefer it that way! Regular permanent bookings are available to anyone on one of our packages. Once you have a permanent spot, you only need to let us know when you can't make it.
